Crispy Bhindi Fry


200 grams Bhindi/Lady Finger 

Dry Spices

1 tsp chaat masala 

1 tsp red chili powder 

½ tsp Black Pepper Powder 

½ tsp Chili Flakes

                                                                2 tbsp besan/gram flour

                                                                ½ tsp turmeric powder 

                                                               1 tsp roasted cumin powder

                                                              Other Ingredients

                                                            5 pieces Green Chili 

                                                            4 tbsp Coriander

                                                            1 tbsp lemon juice 


Slice the bhindi vertically into 4 pieces. If you have small sized bhindi, then slice into 2 pieces. Take all your sliced bhindi in a big bowl.

Now sprinkle all the spice powders one by one on the sliced bhindi 

then add besan 

With a spoon or spatula or hand, gently mix it well

Add 1 tbsp water 

Again, gently mix all. until it coat the bhindi evenly

Marinate the bhindi in this mixture for 10 minutes. You could also keep it for an hour

In the pan, heat up the oil. Add marinated bhindi and fry

When they are soft add green chili 

 When they are little crispy then add Coriander and lemon juice

(  If the oil becomes too hot, you could lower the flame and fry .)

keep the fried bhindis on a crumpled kitchen tissue so that the extra oil gets drained 

Serve them
